Privacy policy

Boards Academy is operated by PrepQ LLC. We collect as little as we can to run the site, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

What we store

• Your email address, when you sign in. If you use Google, we also store your Google account ID (not your password; Google never shares it).
• Sign-in sessions: one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a record of the session on our side. Sign-in links are stored only as a one-way hash and expire after 15 minutes.
• Purchases: the date, amount, plan and Stripe reference of each payment, and the date your access ends. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Practice progress, such as your self-ratings, is kept in your browser on your device, not on our servers.
• Free answers read: your browser keeps a count of which topic answers you have opened while signed out (for the free-answer limit). It stays on your device; it is not tracking and is never sent to us.
• Site analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they find the site. It sets cookies in your browser and receives the page address (without sign-in or payment details), your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not send your name, email or answers to Google, and we do not use it for advertising. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views, without cookies.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare hosts the site and our database.
• Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy.
• Google handles “Sign in with Google” if you choose it, and Google Analytics measures site use.
• Resend delivers sign-in emails.

We use your email only to sign you in, to send receipts and to answer you. No marketing email without your consent.

Your choices

Email [email protected] to get a copy of your data or to delete your account. We keep payment records as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted.

Changes

If we start showing ads to free users or change what we collect, we will update this page first.
