Free practice question: Applying the Budapest criteria
Question 11 of 25 in the free Starter set. Single best answer, three options, like the real exam.
A 45-year-old woman has had burning right-hand pain for 4 months after a distal radius fracture, out of proportion to the injury. She reports that the hand feels hotter and looks redder than the left, sweats more, and that light touch is painful; she denies swelling, stiffness, or weakness. Examination shows allodynia to light touch, a 1.5 °C temperature asymmetry with redness, and no edema, sweating asymmetry, or motor or trophic changes. No other diagnosis explains the findings. Does she meet the Budapest clinical criteria for CRPS?
