Application of Ultrasonography. A healthy adult standardized patient lies supine. An examiner sits at the machine and adjusts it only when you ask; linear, curvilinear and phased-array probes are available. You hold the probe and may reposition the patient. Three tasks follow in order, a vascular access image, a nerve block image and a POCUS view, each limited to 2 minutes 30 seconds.2

Treat the model as Ms. Duarte, a 46-year-old woman, 70 kg, who fell on her outstretched right hand and needs open reduction and internal fixation of the distal radius. She has hard-to-find veins after chemotherapy and says she ate toast and drank juice "maybe three hours ago." The plan is a brachial plexus block with sedation.

Your task: for each request, choose the probe, position the patient, ask for the settings you need, and narrate the image and your endpoint.
